വിരാട് വിശ്വകർമ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത് കേരളത്തിലെ കാസർഗോഡ് ജില്ലയിലെ കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാടിനടുത്തുള്ള അജാനൂർ ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ മാവുങ്കാൽ ,പുതിയകണ്ടം പ്രദേശത്താണ്. കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽ നിന്നും കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് റെയിൽവെ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 3 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തുള്ള എയർപോർട്ട് മംഗലാപുരം Bajpe Manglore എയർപോർട്ട് ആണ്. ലോകത്തിലെ സർവ്വ ചരാചരങ്ങളുടെയും സ്രഷ്ടാവായ വിശ്വകർമ്മാവ് ആണ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന ആരാധനാമൂർത്തി.

The temple of ViratViswakarma is located at Puthiyakandam, Mavungal in Ajanur Village in,Kanhangad,Kasaragod District of Kerala State. The Temple is about 3 kilometers away from the Kanhangad railway station and 3 kilometer north east side Kanhangad bus stand.Nearest airport is BajpeManglre airport which is 80 KM from the temple. The presiding Deity of the temple Lord ViratViswaKarma is the creator of all movable and immovable living and non living beings of the universe. The God who took self Birth (Swayamboo) in the universe when nothing was available over here.There are also subshrines for SreeKalikaambaDevi,SreeMahalakshmiDevi,SreeMahaganapathy and also for KarasthalaNaagalinga Guru inside the temple. The temple tantric, vedic, pooja, rituals are being performed by the Viswa Brahmins preists of North Malabar and South Canara district who are the hierarchical occupationists of the five communities (Manu,Maya,Thwoshta,Shilpi and Vishwanja) was have been trained under the guidance of Nagalinga Guru Swami Mutt at Mysore. This is the significant feature of Sri Mad ParasivaVishwakarmatemple.TheMoolamanthram, of this temple, transferred year to year,which was handed over by Sri SriSidhaLinga Guru Swami to his Successor,MahadevaSwamji.The Pooja performed with such thantricVidya is the only reason of the greatness, purity and popularity of this temple. It will be more interesting and pleasing to introduce the actual people behind the working history of the temple.The villages of Paduvanadu, Kavanadu,AlladaSwaroopam and Kola Swaroopam of Kasaragod Thaluk from Trikkaripur to Kasaragod held meeting of all Vishwa Brahmins of that district on 29th Karkadam 1110 at Manal of Ajanur Village and took a decision to build a temple. Brahma Sri Raman Acharya Aiyatharof KizhakeVeedu at Nileshwar was the first president. There after Brahma SreeKarthambu Acharya was the president of the temple. SreeAmbunhi Acharya of Puthiyakandam was the Secretary and SreeKunhikannan Acharya was the Joint Secretary.SreeAmbunhiAcharayaPallot was the treasurer,Brahmasree K V ShankaranPurohithar,Chiefthanthric was the first Melshanthi. The second Melshanthi is BrahmasreeShankara Narayanan Purohithar and present Melshanthi is Sri. Harishchandranpurohithar and his five deputies performs the day to day poojas,other rituals and Shodasa Karma of these 52 village gothrams.
